EARLY CAREER CREATIVES
Empowerment through collaboration
It can be hard to make a name for yourself.

The art world can appear daunting, and at times inaccessible. By coming together we can create credible events giving ourselves a chance to become known, grow our practice and gain access to opportunities that might have seemed out of reach.

WHO WE ARE
We are you.
Early Career Creatives is a forum to enable creatives to work together to create opportunities for themselves and others to exhibit, promote and gain access to funding.

We have seen that opportunities can be made and we invite you to join us.

There is no membership fee or lengthy application process, we only ask that anybody looking to join us is willing to put in the time and effort to lift up themselves and others.

What We Want From You
-We want people committed to making events happen.
-Any relevant skills and experience. We have many, but the larger our team and bigger our skills base, the more we can achieve.
-Your time: putting events together does of course take time and there are many roles to fill.

Commitment

- We only ask that you stay for the duration of any projects that you commit to.

Creating our own buzz

EDINBURGH EX POLICE BOX FESTIVALS
Founding member Johnathan Elders was also a founding member of Edinburgh Ex Police Box group. With the support of other Police Box members he went on to organize several large scale police box festivals in Edinburgh, generating massive amounts of publicity. The events were covered in national television, radio and press. Thus raising the profile of a forgotten element of our landscape and providing opportunity for some very creative police box owners to promote their produce
DEMANDING ATTENTION
We are happy to consider all paths and possible opportunities. These include partnering with people outwith the creative sector and have involved pairing up with science festivals, community groups and historical societies.

In a city such as Edinburgh with events like the Fringe, it can be easy to be one artist lost in a sea of artists. By exhibiting as part of other types of event we can foster new relationships in areas such as STEM, access new lines of funding and perhaps most importantly stand out!
